The name of this practice, Body Low Slow Loop (BLSL), is a mouthful. The practice itself is straightforward and gently effective. I use it both with my clients and for
myself. I first learned about BLSL when a dear friend shared it to help me through a rough and unruly period of my life.
There are a few meditations on the page — Body Low Slow Loop is at the top.
Created by one of my wonderful teachers, Anna Chitty, and John Chitty, her late husband and teaching partner, you can listen to the recording with John's voice on their website.
I didn't get to work with John—he passed before I began my craniosacral training—though his mellow voice in this guided practice has brought about radical state changes in me and others.
BLSL's magic lies in the effectiveness of Polarity. It brings your attention from a felt source of pain, discomfort, or emotional challenge, to a felt sensation where there is of okay-ness, then back and forth between those poles. The shift in attention couples with growing awareness that aspects of you are just fine to re-organize your soma. Sometimes the pain unwinds completely; other times, you emerge with more space, a wider perspective, and more freedom.
